TIPS and ADVICE

  1. Pack an overnight bag containing all the essentials.
Chances are, you’ll be too tired to unpack your things. You’ll want your essentials within easy access, including a change of clothes if you’re going back to work the next day as well as all your toiletries. It’s also a great way to transport your IPad/Tablet etc.
  2. Pack the items you will need FIRST in a clear plastic bin.
This includes things like a box cutter, paper towels, trash bags, eating utensils, select cookware, power strips, phone chargers, toilet paper, tools, etc. The clear bin allows you to see inside; it also separates itself from the myriad of cardboard boxes.
  3. Place an extra cotton pad or ball into your powder cosmetics to keep them from breaking.
This is a great tip for travelling in general.
  4. Cover the openings of your toiletries with cling wrap, then put the tops back on.
This will keep your toiletries from breaking and leaking all over your stuff during the move.
  5. Take photos
of how your electronics are connected so you can remember how and where all the wires go.

Frequently Asked Questions

What information will you need for the move? 2014-07-25T19:10:59+00:00

Something that sometimes gets forgotten is access for our very large trucks. We will need to know if there are overhanging trees, narrow or tight bends, or overhead cables or any obstacles that may hinder the truck getting down your drive — at both ends of the relocation.

Do I need my own insurance while in transit? 2014-07-25T19:07:19+00:00

While we have a Limited Carriers Liability insurance covering our work. A more comprehensive cover should be arranged separately — a number of household contents insurers have a standard policy inclusion covering one-off moves — check with your insurer to clarify if you have adequate cover.

Do you store and how long for? 2014-07-23T14:23:24+00:00

You can store your goods for as long or short a period as necessary. Storage is charged weekly and all customers receive an invoice/statement every month. You cannot store: Flammable items, gas bottles, plants, any opened food such as oils, sauces etc.

How much notice do you require? 2014-07-23T10:38:30+00:00

We recommend the earlier the better and more likely to secure your preferred dates. But we are usually booked between 7 and 14 days before the expected move takes place. Please always try to give us as much notice as possible.
